Madeline is a 17-year-old senior at the Academy of Science and Technology at The Woodlands College Park High School. She loves combining creativity with community service and is passionate about healthcare, education, and the arts. Her vision for A Better Tomorrow Montgomery County grew out of a desire to create meaningful opportunities for young people to learn, explore, and give back to their community.
Madeline has led a variety of projects that bring together science, technology, and the arts, from publishing a children’s book about The Woodlands to designing interactive STEM activities for kids. She has also represented her school and community in academic competitions, leadership roles, and service initiatives. Her curiosity for discovery has led her to conduct original neuroscience research for the science fair and publish an article on the subject, experiences that further deepened her love for science communication and education. In addition, she completed a summer internship at WOW! Science Camp, where she performed chemistry experiments for children ages 3–10, sparking curiosity and excitement for learning at an early age.
Beyond school, Madeline has dedicated her summers to volunteering at a local senior living and memory care center, where she fosters intergenerational connections and brings joy to residents through service and conversation. These experiences continue to shape her belief in the power of compassion and community engagement.
In her free time, Madeline enjoys reading, working on new projects, and inspiring young minds through hands-on STEAM learning experiences. She believes that with creativity, collaboration, and compassion, young people can make a real difference in the world.
